Cartmell family site

At the moment we live in Sale in the very northern tip of Cheshire although we are (mostly!) from north of the River Mersey in Lancashire. If all goes well we may be moving back into Lancashire in 2005.

Between the 3+3 of us (not forgetting the dogs and parrot) we are involved in education, photography, computers, wildlife, healthy eating, family history and running a company called Finnybank Ltd. The company publishes a magazine called Qercus which is about computers that use RISC OS - a computer operating system that is much friendlier to use than Windows, Linux, or even Apple.

The company is named after the road where three of us (John, Sheelagh and daughter Amy) live - ie Finnybank Road. The other three are Kathy (Amy's sister), husband Colin and their young daughter Holly.
